The Health Minister stressed that the PAPSIVI program, in charge of caring for victims, will receive 24 billion pesos.

President Iván Duque affirmed that the National Government is committed to people who have suffered from Covid-19 and thus help them in transition and psychological recovery.

The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, highlighted that he issued resolution 736 which will make an investment of 25 million pesos to care for victims.

People who avail themselves of the PAPSIVI program will receive psychosocial care and comprehensive health care. "All victims must receive individual or collective psychosocial care to overcome the health and psychosocial effects related to the victimizing act," the Ministry of Health published on its website.

 

Covid-19 victim care plan

"The Ministry of Health within the peace policy with legality has been proposing the comprehensive care program for the victim PAPSIVI, which has two components: psychosocial care components and comprehensive care component to health, "said the Minister of Health.

Fernando Ruiz also spoke about how victims should be cared for. "Today we issued the guidelines on how to deal with it in that context and how to do it in the area of ​​physical distance protection."

The program received an investment to be able to serve more than 100,000 victims, " We issue resolution 736 under which we are going to make an investment of 25 billion pesos for psychosocial care and for all health care that will generate more than 100,000 care across the country. "

 

What is PAPSIVI?

It is a program that takes more than 7 years. The National Government, through the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, created the Program for Psychosocial Care and Comprehensive Health for Victims, which will be implemented through the National Plan for Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims, beginning in the areas with greater presence.
