Current isolation conditions remain until July 15

This was announced this Tuesday by President Iván Duque in the 'Prevention and Action' program.

This Tuesday, in a new broadcast of the 'Prevention and Action' program, President Iván Duque announced that the current conditions of compulsory preventive isolation will last until July 15.

The Head of State clarified that the process of economic reactivation in the country will continue, which consists of recovering a productive life and advancing in the gradual opening of trade.

"We do it thinking about the gradualness that is occurring in the regions and also considering that within this gradualness, trade spaces are entering," said Duque.

And I add:

"We do so taking into account that some cities that have had very rapid growth in cases have taken measures to make that gradualness slower and with more precautions."

However, in the broadcast on Tuesday, the president warned that, despite the fact that conditions remain, the government will not stop taking "drastic measures". He said this after informing that only last weekend 11,879 convicts were imposed for violation of the different quarantine rules.

"There were 2,280 interventions so that clandestine parties were not presented in our country, 1,793 appearances for parties organized inside residences and another 296 appearances in stores that were selling liquor for consumption on site," he added.

For this reason, Duque emphasized that "each one of us has to guide behavior with a great sense of responsibility."

The president explained that the pilots will continue only in municipalities where there are no confirmed cases of covid-19 to reactivate some restaurants and places of religious worship. Duque also announced that in those territorial entities there will be pilots for entertainment establishments.

"We make the determination that in municipalities with low affectation of covid-19 we will give space for mayors to request pilots to see how social distancing works," he said.
